"Let's get to the heart of what matters." This is the United Way of Central Ohio's community call to action and we could not agree more. And Limited Brands associates have continue to answer the call.

In 2007, our associates gave more than $8.5 million to United Way chapters in the communities where we live and work. We encourage our associates to give at the Leaders Circle level by following giving guidelines based on their annual salary. Leaders Circle levels provide the opportunity to recognize all associates who donate to the United Way, at their capacity, regardless of the dollar amount they donate. Our Leaders Circle gifts range from .5 percent to 3 percent, and are matched 100 percent by the company. All other donations are matched 50 percent.

Beyond our financial gifts to the United Way, our associates give of their time and talent through our community work days. In fact, in 2006 nearly 2,600 of our executive leaders and associates donated over 10,000 hours at agencies in our home office communities of Columbus and Kettering, Ohio, New York City and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. During these one-day events, associates roll up their sleeves and volunteer at United Way agencies, getting a first-hand look at their donations in action.
